La Otra Cara shows Argentina's real economy under Milei — beyond the few reassuring figures repeated in the media. An independent, citizen project for educational purposes, for the general public as well as journalists and researchers.

Our principles

• 100% official sources. All data come from public bodies: BCRA, INDEC, datos.gob.ar, customs, IMF. Each chart states its source and lets you download the data (CSV).
• No claim without data. No statement is published without an official series behind it. Estimates (where no official series exists, e.g. net reserves) are always flagged as such, with their origin.
• Automatic updates. Data are refreshed daily from the official APIs.
• Public methodology. Every chart, its source and what is estimated are detailed on the Methodology page.

Corrections

Any error is corrected publicly. If you spot an inaccuracy or want to suggest a source, flag it in the discussion area at the bottom of each page: verified corrections are applied quickly.
